Push- Sarah McLachlan

Everytime i look at you the world just melts away
All my troubles, all my fears dissolve in your affections
You see me at my weakest but you take me as i am
And when i fall you offer me a softer place to land

You stay the course, you hold the line you keep it all together
You're the one true thing i know i can believe in
You're all the things that i desire you save me, you complete me
You're the one true thing i know i can believe

I get mad so easy but you give me room to breathe
No matter what i say or do 'cause you're too good to fight about it
Even when i have to push just to see how far you'll go
You wont stoop down to battle but you'll never turn to go

You stay the course, you hold the line you keep it all together
You're the one true thing i know i can believe in

You're all the things that i desire you save me, you complete me
You're the one true thing i know i can believe

There are times I cant decide when i cant tell up from down
You make me feel less crazy otherwise i'd drown
But you pick me up and brush me off and tell me I'm ok
sometimes thats just what we need to get us through the day

You stay the course, you hold the line you keep it all together
You're the one true thing i know i can believe in
You're all the things that i desire you save me, you complete me
You're the one true thing i know i can believe

i'm not gonna get the Nano already, cuz i'm going to get a brand new 20GB iPod! my old one screwed up and thank goodness we rushed it to the service centre, cuz the warranty expires end of this month.
ben ho chee chen also said that Apple's coming out an iVideo or sth soon! so hard to keep up with the technology these days. speaking of ben; he's working for the 'gahmen' (government) now. hahahaha. i guess i half-expected him to take up an iron rice bowl; just that i thought he would be more adventurous. all the hell i gave him when he was tutoring me. hehe.

me: here's today's fees.
ben: oh okay. wait i give you-
me: keep the change. (actually it was my mum who wanted him to be keep the change, but owells.)

ben: so you see, you must cross multiply this one and log both sides.
me: ya. ya i know. (dozes off)

ben: you never do my homework right. and you almost failed this test.
me: no time to do, school so busy you know. i got so many things to do.
ben: maths must practice. if you don't do my work, don't do your school work, then the only time you get to practice is during your test. (eyes my ailing marks)

that last sentence really stuck in my head throughout my O's.

i was SUCH an ass to him! and i NEVER did his homework. i guess i simply had prejudices against ex-acs boys. but yea, he was a good tutor anyhow. i have one picture of him:

i remember i took this on our second last lesson. ben was still telling me to go to a JC. he was actually quite a bad influence ("first year you play, no need to study very hard lah"). smarty pants.

on our last lesson it was sorta awkward; how to say goodbye? he's sorta like a friend; didn't know if it was proper to give him a farewell hug, so i didn't. i'm really grateful to him. i remember once, i was panicking at night over that stupid functions test, and i was so stressed that i was literally in tears. so i called him, at like, close to midnight, and we did all the practice sums while i kept going "how?" "why?" "i don't get it lah", while he patiently taught me without any real sign of exasperation. i got a very high A1.

i do sorta wonder if ben had a life though, cuz throughout the 2 and 1/2 years of tuition he almost always goes home for dinner. i did indirectly ask him about it, and i think he was quite amused. owells. proved that he did have a life at least.

i can't believe it. a whole entry on my last tutor. well, fate brings you blessings disguised as nice people. :)
